Sun Hunter designs and manufactures solar power charging solutions.

Our mission is to help keep your digital devices charged and ready no matter where you go. Through research and design, we are enabling our customers to utilize sustainable, clean solar energy in remote or off-grid locations. Through collaborative problem-solving and quality engineering, we’re creating portable power solutions that are durable, convenient and elegantly designed.

Sun Hunter, Inc. was established in 2018 in New York. Our first product — which received funding from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority’s PowerBridgeNY program — was an off-grid, self-powered video monitoring solution that featured a leading-edge supercapacitor-buffered solar power pack. By fine-tuning electrical impedance between solar panel and supercapacitor, our design provides an extraordinary solar energy conversion and storage efficiency that can withstand the elements.

In 2019, our team received the prestigious iF Gold Award for our rollable solar charger that features revolutionary ultrathin CIGS (copper indium gallium di-selenide compound semiconductor) solar technology. The unique flexibility of CIGS photovoltaic (PV) panels is the foundational technology that allows us to design and engineer products that are an ideal choice for off-grid adventurers, infrastructure builders and anyone concerned with lowering their carbon footprint.
